Patrick Retiring

My name is Patrick Garofano, and I am the founder of Fairhope Physical Therapy. It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from the practice of physical therapy after 39 years. Throughout my career, I have been honored to serve the Fairhope community- an opportunity made possible by the trust you have placed in us and the confidence you have placed in our team to support your plan of care with what we believe is best-in-class physical therapy.

First and foremost, thank you for your support over the years. I understand that the outcomes you expect to achieve are significantly influenced by the quality of physical therapy you receive. I also recognize that where you receive physical therapy is a decision that is not taken lightly. Thank you for trusting our team to contribute to your success. It has been a pleasure to work with you in your wellness journey.

As I contemplated retirement, my loyalty to the Fairhope community guided my decisions regarding the future of the practice. Fairhope and the surrounding communities deserve the best physical therapy, and I wanted this transition to usher in a new era of exceptional care. I’m excited to share that I have found an outstanding partner in Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists.

I recently sold the practice to Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists (www.johnsonandhayes.com), and I am excited to introduce you to them. Founded in 2003 by Scott Johnson, PT, and Todd Hayes, PT-- childhood friends who played baseball together in high school and college -- Johnson & Hayes has grown from a single clinic in Huntsville, AL, to a seven-clinic practice serving Guntersville, Hampton Cove, Huntsville, Madison (2 locations), Oneonta, and Providence, AL. Their deep local roots inspire a high standard of care, and their treatment model ensures that each patient works consistently with the same therapist/therapist team throughout their care.

Even with my retirement, Fairhope Physical Therapy will continue to be a locally focused, patient-centered clinic. The name will remain the same, and our outstanding local staff will continue serving the community. The clinic will now be led by Amy Beshel, PT. A native of Mobile Alabama, Amy has been with Fairhope Physical Therapy for the past nine years. She brings 36 years of experience across various settings, including outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy, and long-term inpatient rehabilitation. With Amy’s leadership, along with our team’s strong community ties and deep clinical expertise, I am confident that you will continue to receive the highest level of care.

The clinic remains open and is currently undergoing a remodel at its existing location:
